Stewardship and Governance

The Financial Reporting Council introduced the Stewardship Code to promote engagement between companies and institutional investors, aiming to enhance long-term shareholder returns and the effective implementation of governance responsibilities.

BLC Fund is a signatory to the Stewardship Code. We fulfill our stewardship responsibilities by voting at annual meetings and engaging with company directors and management on both strategic and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) matters. We believe it is our duty to act as responsible stewards of the assets we invest in on behalf of our clients.

This means protecting and growing the capital we manage for our customers, while also communicating with companies to encourage good governance and corporate sustainability.
